How to use Time Dozen

A quick guide to every part of the site.

Place pages

Open Countries, pick a country, then a region or city. Each page shows the current local time, date, UTC offset, daylight saving status and sunrise and sunset.

Time zones

The time zones list covers abbreviations such as UTC, EST, PST and IST, plus fixed offsets. Each page lists the places that use the zone and its current offset.

Converting time

The converter compares two places or zones. Choose a pair to see the current difference and the hours that overlap, which helps when planning a call.

Tools

  • Clock: a large full-screen clock for any place.
  • Military time: 24-hour time and its conversion.
  • Time zone map: pick a zone on a world map.
  • Unix timestamp: convert between epoch seconds and dates.
  • Meeting planner: find a time that works across several places.

Search

Use the search box in the header. Type at least two characters; results are grouped by type. Time zone codes such as IST match exactly.

Preferences

The theme button switches between light and dark. The 12/24-hour choice and theme are stored only in your browser's local storage, never as cookies, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
