How it is calculated

The alarm time is compared with this device's clock every second. If the time has already passed today, the alarm is set for tomorrow. When it rings the page plays a tone made in the browser (no audio file), flashes the tab title and offers Stop or Snooze. The alarm is remembered in this browser, so it survives a reload.

Frequently asked questions

Will the alarm ring if I close the tab?

No. An online alarm clock only works while the page is open. Keep the tab open, the volume on and the computer or phone from going to sleep.

Why do I have to click before the alarm can play sound?

Browsers block sound that starts without a user action. Setting the alarm or pressing Test sound unlocks audio for this page so the tone can play later.

Which time zone does the alarm use?

It uses the clock and time zone of your device, like a bedside alarm. To ring at a time in another city, convert the time first with the time zone converter.

How does snooze work?

Snooze stops the sound and sets the same alarm again 5 minutes later. Stop ends the alarm completely.
